  Refuge has a year-round manager
Casa Batlle is located in the uninhabited centre of Montfalcó. Since its creation sustainability and energy self-sufficiency criteria were used, meaning Casa Batlle is an eco-friendly hostal. The hostel is set amidst the Montsec mountain range and close to the shores of the Canelles reservoir. This landscape, belonging to the outer Pyrenean reliefs, has great environmental diversity and an impressive historical and cultural heritage. Casa Batlle is a building with an interesting history. It was built in 1850 and used as a mountain hut for the workers who, during the 1970s, repopulated the area. Architecturally it is a very interesting building that has been converted into modern hostel thanks to a partnership agreement with SODEMASA (a public company of the Department of Environment of the Government of Aragón) and the Centro para el Desarrollo de Sobrarbe y Ribagorza (CEDESOR, Centre for the Development of Sobrarbe and Ribagorza).
