Next to Oulettas de Gaube refuge (2158 m) a bridge crosses to the left bank of the stream, where a signpost indicates the direction to follow. The path covers some flat land heading south next to the meadow and soon starts to climb towards the pass. The path is more obvious at this point with some painted markings and relentlessly snakes up the slope to reach Mulos pass (2594 m).

It then heads down and soon arrives at a crossing (2522 m) where a barely discernible path forks right and borders the rock field towards Coth d'Arratilha (crossing with route 18). We carry on down the left side following the painted markings until, at approximately 2360 m. At this altitude we should then leave the markings and head towards the south (cairns and a partial path) going down the valley on the left bank of the River Ara.

We will then reach Mallata Batans (crossing with route 19) where the path joins the GR 11 and we follow the markings of the long distance footpath from now on. We then head up the River Ara for a short while and wade across it where the markings indicate before continuing our ascent up the right bank. We head up Barranco deros Batans over some stony land passing by the Ibons deros Batans on our left and finally end up at Puerto Biello dero Brazato (2566 m), from where we start the long descent down to Panticosa Spa.

We border round the left of the Ibones Perforau and Altos de Brazato basin and then descend to the dam at Ibón de Brazato. After bordering round the north bank the path passes near to the dam and we start descending again. There is a steep zigzagging path before we reach a meadow that we should border round to the north. At the end there is a less defined path leading towards Ibons dero Serrato to the right. We should ignore this path and start on a new, apparently endless, zigzag which crosses the forest and descend to Panticosa Spa where the Casa de Piedra is located at the north end (1636 m), and the end of our walk.
