At Larribet refuge (2072 m) we take the path upwards to the south of the building towards Batcrabère lakes. There is a path to the right above Lou d'era Claou (crossing with routes 09, 13, 29 and 35) which crosses the outlet from the lake over a chaotic boulder field and bears up the facing mountainside. The path peters out although some markings indicate the route to follow, bearing diagonally to the right (north) zigzagging until it reaches a stream. We then head west towards the crowning saddle (2429 m)..On the other side a granite cirque opens up to the south of Lac de Bathbielh. Bordering the cirque horizontally we follow the markings and partial footpaths until via a steep channel of loose stones we climb up to Col de la Lie (2469 m).
The painted markings peter out and there is no clear path at this point, but the route to follow is obvious and there are some cairns to guide us. Over rather hard going terrain of boulders and loose stones we head down to the Batboucou lakes (2099 m). We then border round the south to join the path leading to Lac d'Artouste. After crossing the dam (1997 m) and a bridge shortly afterwards (crossing with route 07), we border round the west side of the lake on a well trodden path. At the end of the lake we head upwards on a grassy slope. A post indicates the path from Col d'Arrious, which bears off to the right. We take the left path here to go over the hill up an easy zigzagging path. Cross the plain heading southeast and after bordering round the lower lake we reach the big lake and Arrémoulit refuge (2305 m), which is visible from the other side of the dam.
